Pancakes are a thin, flat round cake prepared from a batter and cooked on a hot griddle or frying pan.
Pancakes are called hotcakes back in our country. Pancakes can be eaten hot or cold, and are generally topped or filled with a sweet or savory sauce or condiment.

2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1 large egg, slightly beaten
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
